A Touch of Moonlight
Seems I haven’t been to McDonald’s for ages. Or at least long enough to miss the advent of the so-called BFF size. When I was first asked if I wanted my twister fries “regular or BFF” I was stumped & just mumbled something incoherent. So well, now I know this is the so-called BFF size for twister fries (and yes, I ordered 2).
Good thing it wasn’t the BFF for the “normal” fries coz after my initial confusion and when I finally looked at the menu, seems to me I’d be eating a week’s worth of fries. LOL

The Philippines probably has — one of, if not — the longest Christmas. As soon as the “-Ber” months start; the holiday anticipation is in the air. Folks would start putting together their Christmas shopping list, Christmas party plans are underway and Stores put up their Christmas merchandise and holiday sales abound.
It’s quite fun during the early -ber months from September to October considering there’s still Halloween and being a majorly Catholic country; the remembrance of All Saints and All Souls Days.
It’s during these months when stores seem to have an identity crisis as they try to lure in customers with shiny baubles and creepy masks.

I just came across this article which seems very timely for me.  It was able to lay down my thoughts, feelings & all those zany convos I’ve had with my BFF the past few months in a one-page Want vs. Needs comparison.

Of course, being thoroughly in-tune with my feelings & psyche; I’ve always known that; right now the person I need only (probably) wants me (hopefully, even a little).

And as the article suggests; I shouldn’t settle for that.  But isn’t that a paradox?

To quote this portion:

"A person who needs you…

Will do anything to keep you. This is the type of person who is always interested to hear what you have to say. This person wants to know about your day, to know what you did, what you ate, whom you interacted with.

This person wants to know every little bit about you because he or she is still trying to figure out why it is that he or she needs you so much.

This person knows he or she couldn’t bear living without you, but this person can’t exactly pinpoint the reason why.

This person is in love with you because this person is in love with you, and although that’s enough of an explanation, this person still wants to figure you out.”

The mere fact that I’m willing to “settle” for this person is precisely because I need that person & will do anything to keep that person.

If I’m able to bear living without them in order to salvage my pride then I don’t really need them but actually just want them.

Re-watching "My Best Friend’s Wedding" coz of the following quote:

"If you love someone you say it, you say it right then, out loud. Otherwise, the moment just… passes you by…"

Unlike your typical RomCom, this movie doesn’t have a happy ending, at least not for the protagonist.  It’s both depressing & uplifting coz of its realism, coz obviously not everyone can have a happy ending.

It’s bittersweet & it reminded me how much I adored Rupert Everett’s character - George - and how badly I wished he wasn’t gay for Julianne’s sake.  But like what he said:  "Although you quite correctly sense that he is… gay… like most devastatingly handsome single men of his age are, you think… what the hell."  LOL  What the hell indeed!

All this talk about Bacon urged me to go to Zark’s for their Deep Fried Bacon Wrapped Burger! Been a long time since I had one. This should be enuff for my Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner. *lol*

My coffee has nuts… I think… *takes a sip* yep, I’m pretty sure they are. Soy, no-whip version of Starbucks’ Tiramisu Frappe.

Trying to get back to my pre-LoA routine by going out (mid-shift) to watch a movie. 😁 I missed quiz & several hours of dailies but I guess it’s about time I start disengaging myself from the game. Got these donuts from Krispy Kreme too! Ugh missed the TMNT movie though. Heck I missed a LOT of movies this year or the past couple of years actually… one of the downsides of working from home; makes you too lazy to even wanna hang out at the mall. But then again, it’s also probably coz the mall’s just a block away from where I live so I’m not so gung-ho about it coz it’s so accessible. *shrugs* I might just be making excuses to cover up my laziness. *lmao*
